Rides we run

Where people ask us to take them.

A standing weekly appointment or a one-time trip, either is fine. Recurring riders set a regular pickup time so there’s no calling to book the same ride every week.

  • Dialysis Three days a week, same chair, same driver.
  • Doctor and clinic visits Primary care, specialists, imaging, labs.
  • Physical and occupational therapy We wait or come back. Your call.
  • Dental and vision Including longer procedure appointments.
  • Adult day programs Morning drop-off and afternoon pickup.
  • Hospital discharge A ride home when you’re released.
  • Pharmacy, groceries, errands We help with bags to the door.
  • Church, family, and social Weddings, funerals, holidays, birthdays.

Somewhere not on this list? If it’s in the metro, just ask.

How it works

Four steps, start to finish.

No app, no account, no waiting on hold. One phone call sets the whole thing up.

01

Call and book

Give us the date, the pickup address, where you’re headed, and what time you need to be there. We quote the fare on that same call. A day or two of notice helps, but ask about same-day, because sometimes we can make it work.

02

We come to your door

The driver meets you at the door, not just the curb, and helps you down the ramp and into the van. Your chair is locked with a four-point securement system and you wear a lap and shoulder belt, same as any seat.

03

Inside, not just outside

We walk you in to the front desk if you’d like, and carry whatever you brought with you. A family member or aide is welcome to ride along.

04

And back again

When you’re done, call and we’ll come back for the return trip. If the appointment runs long, that’s normal. Call the cell and we’ll adjust.

Service area

St. Paul is home. The metro is the range.

We run throughout the east metro and across the river into Minneapolis and the western suburbs.

Home base: St. Paul

We know the ramps, the parking, and the drop-off doors at the hospitals and clinics around here: Regions, United, St. Joseph’s, the VA campus, and the dialysis centers in between.

Request a ride

Rather text than call?

Fill this in and we’ll turn it into a text message to our scheduling line. Nothing sends until you press the button, and we’ll call you back to confirm the time and the fare.

“Text this request” opens your own messaging app with everything filled in. You still press send. On a computer without texting set up, use “Copy the details” and paste them into an email or read them to us over the phone.

What will be sent

Fill in the form above and your message will appear here.
FAQ

Questions we get on the phone.

Who can ride?

Anyone who uses a manual wheelchair, a power chair or a mobility scooter, and anyone who can transfer to a regular seat with a little help. A family member, aide or friend is welcome to come along.

Do I stay in my own wheelchair?

Yes. You board up the ramp in your own chair and stay in it the whole way. The chair is locked down with a four-point securement system and you wear a lap and shoulder belt, the same as any seat in the vehicle.

What does the driver actually help with?

Door through door, not curb to curb. The driver meets you at your door, helps you down the ramp and into the van, and walks you in to the front desk at the other end if you’d like. Bags and a walker come too.

How far ahead do I need to book?

A day or two of notice helps us hold the time you want, especially for morning appointments. Same-day rides are sometimes possible, so it’s always worth calling to ask.

What will the ride cost?

We quote the fare on the phone before you book, so you know the price before you commit to anything. Call 651-274-1881 with your pickup address and where you’re headed and we’ll give you the number.

Can I set up a standing weekly ride?

Yes, and most dialysis and adult day program riders do. We put your regular days and times on the schedule so you’re not calling to book the same trip every week.

What if my appointment runs long?

Call the cell at 651-274-2138 and we’ll adjust. Appointments run over all the time and it’s not a problem. We’d just rather hear it from you than guess.

Where do you go?

St. Paul and the east metro is home base, and we run across the river into Minneapolis and the western suburbs every day. Longer trips outside the metro can usually be arranged with some notice.
